My name is Alicia Sisnerosl and I have worked for AAA participant direction as a consultant for the Mi Via Waiver and SDCB Program for 7 years. I have extensive work experience with medically fragile infants, aids patients, individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder, developmentally disabled, and acted as a Brain Injury Guide (BIG) for the Mi Via program. I have faced adversity when it comes to what the general population believes an individual with a disability can do. I am an advocate at heart and have helped families gain supports needed for their loved ones to live independently through their medical insurance and many community organization. I have also participated in several legislative sessions that address the needs of our brain injury and developmental disability population. I gained my work experience working with individuals with all types of disabilities as a pursued my Bachelors of Science degree at the University of New Mexico. I graduate with my degree from University of New Mexico in winter of 2008.
